Book Review -- Dining with Joy by Rachel Hauck

Dining with Joy
by: Rachel Hauck

Summary:
Joy Ballard is the host of a regionally-syndicated cooking show and she has a secret -- she can't cook. She is paired with Luke Redmond (handsome, creative chef) and she thinks she has a way out since she can't cook but he has more in mind with Joy that just co-hosting a cooking show. Their relationship heats up on set and off set until Joy's secret is revealed by her rival, Wenda Devine.

My Reaction:
I really was hoping to enjoy this book. I liked the story line but it was hard for me to get into this book. It took me over a month to get 1/2 way through the book (and I read a lot and I am a speed reader). Every time that I picked the book up, it didn't hold my attention. Normally, I can't wait to see what happens next and honestly, I didn't care what happened with Joy, Luke and Wenda. The author developed the characters well but I didn't feel the book flowed at a quick enough pace -- very slow going.
