Bella Luna Pizzeria -- Trinidad, Colorado

Wood Fired Pizza, Pasta, Paninis, Salads, Wine & Beer

We stopped at Bella Luna after the staff at our hotel recommended them to us. When we arrived the restaurant was packed and the only seating was at the bar. Sitting at the bar was great -- we had a great view of the pizza dough being tossed and the pizzas as they went into the brick oven. Since it was packed that Saturday night, we really enjoyed watching the pizzas being made and kept G occupied too. (which was nice since we had been in the car 8 hours that day and at age 6, he gets bored waiting)

G ordered: Little Carl (small pepperoni pizza) w/black olives added $5.50 plus additional topping charge

E ordered: The Paulie (italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, red onions, tomato sauce & mozzarella) $14.99

I ordered: The Pasta Special (cheese stuffed ravoli w/tomato sauce) and a salad $9.99

Everything was really good. The pasta was really filled with cheese, the sauce was great and the breadsticks were so yummy. The salad was very fresh and tasted great. G loved his pizza and so did E. I tasted a bite of the pizzas and the crust was really good, it was cooked perfectly and the toppings & sauce were really good. I had a nice glass of wine (forget now what I ordered) and E had a local Colorado beer that was good.
