Roaring Fork - Downtown Austin & STOMP

Last night I went out to a wonderful dinner with a dear friend of mine and then we went and saw STOMP (which was amazing)!

We went to dinner at Roaring Fork in downtown Austin. It was a very nice place and would be a great date place (romantic setting). They have an amazing menu and I had no idea what I was going to order until our waitress told us the specials.

I ordered the following:
Halibut on a bed of crispy onion strings, some mixed greens, topped with lump crab meat and a light drizzle of an asian vinagrette.

Steamed asaragus

Green chili mac & cheese (amazing)

My friend ordered the following:
Fish of the day (Yellowtail, I think) and it was served with lime cilantro rice, avacado and roasted corn butter

White corn cheese grits

For an appitizer we had the Yucatan Style Shrimp and it was served chilled with lime, avacado and a bit of a light salsa.

Everything was really yummy!! I wish I had pictures of the food but the lighting wasn't good enough to take pictures.

After our yummy dinner we walked next door to The Paramount Theatre to watch STOMP.

What an amazing show! I was very impressed and recommend everyone to try and see them live at sometime. It lasted about 1 hour and 45 minutes and these people are moving constantly and are sweating big time. It was impressive!
