9 uncooked lasagna noodles I used whole wheat noodles
1 package (19-1/2 ounces) Italian turkey sausage links, casings removed
1/2 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (12 ounces) tomato paste
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon fennel seed

1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Cook noodles according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, cook the sausage, beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; add garlic and cook 1 minute longer. Drain.

In a small bowl, combine the egg, ricotta cheese, parsley and salt.
Drain noodles and rinse in cold water.

**I made this up today for us to have for dinner later this week. I will let you know what we thought of it. It was easy to make and looks really yummy.**
We had this tonight and it was really yummy! It is a keeper and a great recipe to make up and give to someone that just had a baby, surgery, etc. Loved it!

That sounds absolutely delish! I might have to make it up! I love that you host a Pure Romance party... I think the Michigan reps are the most fun... I went to a party in IL and PA before and the reps were terrible. My friends bachlorette party in MI the rep was crazy bonkers and was just a lot of fun. Everyone was laughing at me because they have a dual action toy with rhinestones on it.... I have a rhinestone/diamond OBSESSION... its 100 and I almost bought it except I dont really need it LOL.
